About Encore
Sonja used to be the owner of Encore! Clothing Revival®, one of Southern California’s top resale clothing stores in Oceanside, before she turned her business into an online store.
Here is the press release when the store opened its doors:
“Both locals and visitors are lining up for what has proven to be one of the most anticipated stores to open its doors this year. Encore! Clothing Revival® features a myriad of brand name apparel and accessories, from Roxy, Guess, Juicy Couture, Tommy Bahama, Old Navy, Gymboree and Quicksilver, Gap and many more.
“Thrift stores can fill a big need in this area, especially in these economic times,” said owner Lopez. The mother of two and life-long bargain hunter grew frustrated at the lack of resale stores in her own Oceanside neighborhood. After recognizing how the economy and high costs for new clothing were affecting the community, Lopez saw a need she could fill.
“Everyone loves a great bargain and recycling clothes is environmentally friendly,” she continued. “It’s a pleasure to offer our community higher-end labels at affordable, thrift store prices. We not only save our customers, particularly parents, the time they would have spent driving from store to store for age-specific items, but money as well.”
The 1,600-square foot retail space features infant to adult sizes, with items marked down 75-90% off retail price.
Lopez is also considering hosting a bi-monthly workshop to share her cost-cutting practices. She hopes her store and workshop will benefit those who find themselves in uncharted financial waters today.
Encore! Clothing Revival® is located on the corner of Temple Heights Road and Oceanside Boulevard, in the Rancho Del Oro neighborhood of Oceanside.”
